Gender Studies Men - How often do you show your appreciation to your woman?

for having decent meals on the table, cleaning ur house/apt, doing your laundry and ironing if needed. Do you ever tell her how much you appreciate this or do you take it for granted?

How often do women show their appreciation for their men going to work all day to bring home money?



Men go to work and bring home money which enables women to maintain the household and get things that she and the family can enjoy. Women maintaining the household allows men to do the best they can at work. (Being presentable, well-nourished, well-rested, etc.) It's traditional and kinda outdated but it does work.



Nowadays one income barely cuts it so this traditional model only works if the man makes awesome money.

a) Not often enough



b) As a seriously self-contained individual for many reasons, I do not fall over myself with praise, since it feels phony and thus comes out as phony.



c) I tend to feel that my active contributions are appreciation enough.



d) The greatest single cause of divorce applications is 'lack of appreciation' - an issue that works both ways. I think the error is in both not realising that the other DOES appreciate, but does not necessarily say so all the time.



e) I by no means limit such things to household activities - since my women tend to be professional women in their own right.

I'm the one cooking my own dinner,keeping the apartment clean(still in college), I do my own laundry and often times I'll help her with homework and bring some dinner over as long as my roommate(brother) doesn't mind. That aside she does help me out a lot too so I do appreciate her being there. And I try to show it everyday as does she
