Personally I was shocked to see this article on the headlines at aol.com! I think it's great, because I have honestly never seen this issue addressed anywhere of importance. The author has incredibly great points, and I think some of our congressmen need to take steps to ensure ALL Americans have equal rights under the law, not obviously tipped in favor of women. The current laws about domestic violence are a joke, men are almost completely unprotected, and you can be put away just for being the victim!! It's incredibly sickening, and the sad part is it's women's "rights" groups who have put a price on every man's head if he's even involved in a domestic dispute.

We need to change this discrimination!

The live of Men in feministan is a Russian Roulette Game. Any woman, at any place could accuse any man of VAWA/SH/ Stalking. And his @ss will be fcuk by police/ court system . No evidence need.

That's the bottom line.

It's absolutely important for both sexes! I have heard of many stories of men being verbally and physically abused by their wives and the husbands stay, just as a wife would stay if her husband was doing the same thing. For some reason we don't see the same acts just as serious as we would from a man. It doesn't stop with domestic violence, but with other forms of violence. If two men were to get into a fight, it would be called aggravated assault and someone would be in jail. If two women were to get into it, it's called a "cat fight". If a man forces himself sexually on a woman, he's a rapist. If a (lesbian) woman forces herself sexually on a woman, people barely bat an eyelash. I remember years ago reading a story about how a grown woman raped a 10/11ish year old girl and her sentencing wasn't anything of what a man would have gotten.

Domestic violence is domestic violence, simple as that.

I guess they finally cannot ignore the facts and aren't willing to do exactly what the Feminist man-haters want. That is great, and now maybe more people will be aware of the fact that violence against men by women is a large and serious problem. Of course the Feminists will still continue to deny that men are as often victims as they are abusers, and that a woman can never be a victim.

Tonya, Typical redirection and misrepresentation tactics... Using a 9 year old special interrest group's findings... Check out the 2006 CDC statistics. Tells a very different and more realistic story. Others; the old argument of women are more the victims than men is a shallow and archaic argument. We should not care who is "more" or who is "less". It is a serious problem in general and should be treated as such.

Judging by the way feminist groups discuss only violence against women, demanded the USA have a Violence Against Women Act while the British feminists push for children as young as five to be taught about violence against women & girls, and the huge volumes of 'feminist studies' on violence against women - it is all too easy to conclude that feminists want society to focus only on violence against women/girls.

Clearly, violence against men and boys is of no interest to them. In fact, many feminist groups will support & defend husband murderers and child killers (of the female variety).

Please observe the absolute lack of responses from feminists who frequent this section... amazing.

Thank you for sharing this,

"a man who calls the police to report domestic violence is three times more likely to be arrested than the woman who is abusing him". That says it all.

That's why you never, never, NEVER let a woman live with you.

Even if you are high profile like Tiger Woods.

You want to end domestic violence right now,

you simply refuse to never tolerate it.

That means you dump that b*tch NOW.

Because a man will be arrested even when he is NOT violent.

There are men in LA country prison - right now - for NOT hitting their women.

When women are growing old with their cats, maybe they will fix those laws with their votes.

Good article. I have a friend who is divorced now. Several years ago, his wife pulled a gun on him. That was it. He got his @ss out of dodge and never looked back.

I agree. No one should be hitting anyone. And if we tolerate it from women and not men, that's just like saying we're not strong enough to control our emotions. That's sexist towards women.

Of course. Anyone can be abused by their spouses regardless of their gender.

it's definitely a problem for both genders as well as for various sexual orientations. anyone can be violent - emotionally, physically and/or mental abuse can be committed by anybody. the difference in men & women's body mass/strength makes men less likely to be victims of physical abuse, but it certainly doesn't mean it doesn't happen.
