Hilliary's tactic of selling her Experience was not truthful. She did not have the Experience she claimed. It was widely refuted. She also had very high negatives with Men and would unite the GOP Conservative Base. She was a lightning Rod that did not help the Democrats. She had a better organization, head start and lots of money. She still pulled in alot of Women's Votes. To Hillliary's credit she is a tough campaigner. And she worked very hard. Obama did not have any negative established history. He was an unknown. He sold Hope and Change. Two powerful and attractive selling points after several years of War.

He was young, a Minority, handsome, a Family man. This was a great Kodak selling image. He appealed to disenfranchised voters, Educated Whites, Single Moms and Single Women. He sold the idea of a Big Tent and everyone was invited. At his rallies he called on Hispanics, Whites, Women, Men, and Blacks. He said I want everyone's Vote.

Hilliary did not reach out to Men. And she pulled very negative numbers amongst White Men, the second largest voting block.

Two reasons.

1) She always changed her image according to the polls. Every week there was a new Hillary.

2) The black vote went over 98% to Obama.

She lost because she was already in the White House. Nobody wanted The Clintons part 2.

They may have been factors, but remember a lot of people voted for her. Barrack, was a tad more skilled at communications than her, due to his work as a professor and being the head of the Harvard Law Review. When I listen to President Obama and note the choice of words, I know he has language skills that far exceed Hilary's. Mc Cain referred to President Obama's fantastic language skills in a debate as "His eloquence" as in "did you notice his eloquence? He said he wants to "look at this issue", not do anything about this issue."

Hilary knows the reason she lost, and she's in training for these skills now, as Secretary of State.

She lost because she got less votes.

Had the debates not gotten so ugly she may have been asked to be VP.

Being appointed to Secretary of State is nothing to scoff at.

There is nothing non-existent about either of those things, Hillary lost because she ran a lousy campaign, first she went in treating then nomination as hers by right and when it wasn't handed to her like an inheritance based on her name she had no back-up and had blown all her campaign funds. She also shot herself in the foot with false claims about her past and Bill was a liability because he kept trying to make it as much about himself as about her which made her look weak and potentially ineffective. Who wants a President who needs her husband to speak for her?

She lost because a lot of people (both men AND women) don't like her.

Its possible a lot of women didn't want a female president because then they can't whine about sexism anymore. It would put the final nail in chivalry's coffin AND it would expose what women are truly capable (or not capable) of. Some just feared the idea.

As for the men... its pretty obvious.

neither of those things are non-existent. i have experienced them personally and spoken to other females with the same experience. idk how any random man could evaluate whether gender discrimination exists because he will not be able to experience it. that's like if i said getting kicked in the balls doesn't hurt; i have no way to experience the event.

she lost because you are idiots...

That much is becoming apparent more and more each day...

90% of the black vote...obama...?

over 56% of the registered democrat voters are female. the party was controlled, during the primary phase, by the women who should have backed her up to make history for themselves...this oughta give you some idea what you broads truly think of yourselves.

instead you played yourselves like dumb hookers with a windy city pimp pulling your coat tails...yipping and barking and clapping at every little spit tidbit obama tossed in your direction..

and now you're finding out his 5th grader IQ isn't working like it sounded back then....to get a giraffe in a refrigarator takes more than opening the fridge door, putting the giraffe in the fridge and closing the fridge door....such was the logic you folks listened to, and such was the logic you pandered to...

and now you stand in the early spring thaw; with your hands still out stretched and your mouths hung open...while obama slices the goose and passes the giblets and plum pudding to the bank's board members, tiny tim gets nothing more than a cramp in his shoulder from leaning on that crutch for so long, and poor bob crachett, he got laid off. during the bailout and hasn't been called back since..

she lost because Oboma was more charismatic. I personally voted for Hillary in the primary.
2009-04-09 18:38:13 UTC
Yes. She also lost because nobody wanted the Arkansas political mafia running the Whitehouse again, and nobody trusts the Clintons.
2009-04-09 18:34:18 UTC
She lost because 95% of the black vote went to Obama.

She lost because she didn't get enough votes. End of story :P
2009-04-09 19:26:18 UTC
she lost because she'd be more of the same stuff we've had for decades..obama is definitely for change
2009-04-09 18:47:19 UTC
She comes across as untrustworthy.
