i would love to know what you think about this topic..
i think dating is a lot easier for women...
for instance.. consider the following type of men and women

shy woman - shy man
poor woman - poor man
women with no confidence- man with no confidence
unfunny woman - unfunny man


in my opinion, in every single of those cases, the man is going to have a very hard time finding a girlfriend or wife.. on the other hand a woman with those characteristics is very likely to find a boyfriend or husband.


I'm a very very shy guy in my 20's... and i have never had a girlfriend.. and for what i've read on the internet, there are several men like me in the world.//... Now, i also visit a forum for people who suffer from social anxiety and it is surprising how women with social anxiety are married or have boyfriends.

probable you will tell me that an overweight man is more likely to find a date than an overweight lady... well...... i don't know about that... i have heard about men who find overweight women very attractive.. i happen to be one of those men... on the other hand, i've never heard of women who are crazy about overweight men...

so, i think dating is a lot easier for women.. am i wrong?

Not necessarily. Dating can be a very complex thing - you're right that women have far more OFFRERS and opportunities on the market but establishing the relationhip they want can still be a difficult thing.



As for you, most of us don't like overweight women so you have a whole niche open for you in the market. You just need to got out, to TRY and meet some women I gurantee if you could get rid of social anziety, loosen up and gain some confidence you could land a girlfriend within a matter of months.



Dating is not necessarily easier, *finding* a date is easier for a woman, but that's only part of the game.

Women's advantages:



Shy woman > shy man

poor woman > poor man

woman with no confidence > man with no confidence

young female virgin > young male virgin

average looking woman > average looking man

short woman > short man



However, men age like wine and women age like milk. In other words, women's dating market value drops significantly with age and baggage, while men's can increase or stay the same:



An ugly man can compensate for his looks more easily than an ugly woman.



An older man can be experienced and distinguished while an older woman is washed up.



When women have kids men are much less interested in having serious relationships with them, but men with kids can go on to date, marry, and knock up more and more women. Women may even like a man more if he has kids.

All you did was pick out a set of qualities that are not in and of themselves deal breakers for men when women have them.



They're not deal breakers for women either - but if a man is not willing to step up and ask women out - then yeah, he might have a lot of trouble dating. Unless he plays it smart and finds a way to seek out those women who have no problem asking guys out. That's a possibility. Those women exist.

It depends on what you mean by easy? Just getting a guy to say he's your boyfriend, or actually establishing a healthy monogamous relationship with someone?



Just because someone is in a relationship, doesn't mean that they are happy or fulfilled. It MAY mean that they are getting laid.



Just as men worry about Women only wanting them for their money and status. Women have to worry about men only wanting their vaginas.

men on the other hand don't get much offers because it's the women who has to give up most of her things to start a new life as a wife... her family, her home, her friends...
