Question:
Why, do you suppose, don't feminists get upset at The Vagina Monologues' support of women raping girls?

Feminist Eve Ensler writes of a women raping a 13 year old girl: "If it was rape, it was a good rape". Yet I never see feminists criticize Eve Ensler. Indeed, that play has largely succeeded BECAUSE OF FEMINIST SUPPORT.

Actually, that part was very controversial and received a lot of publicity. It is incorrect to say that feminists supported it.

I copied this from your link:

The Vagina Monologues has been criticized by some within the feminist movement, including pro-sex feminists and individualist feminists.[10] Sex-positive feminist Betty Dodson, author of several books about female sexuality, saw the play as having a narrow and restrictive view of sexuality.[11] Individualist feminist Wendy McElroy stated that the play "equates men with 'the enemy' - heterosexual love with violence".[12][13] Elroy identifies the work's inclusion of lesbian viewpoints as problematic, stating "A play that claims to unveil the truth about vaginas but, somehow, overlooks the salutary role men play in most women's sexuality has no credibility."[8]

Feminists are masters of cognitive dissonance.

I don't see them saying a word about the prevalence of male rape "humor" in comedy films (This is the End, Wedding Crashers, Animal House, Harold & Kumar to name a very few).

It's no secret why they don't, but the example you cite -- in which a woman is victimized -- proves that feminists have little interest in helping women, but seek instead to demonize men.

They called it "Good rape" because a woman did it, isn't that telling?

Rape has been trivialized so much thanks to feminists.

Just love how the lovely ladies here are now claiming "they haven't read or heard of it before" lol. Gotta love the deniability women have when called out on their sh*t

Lol @ the pathetic anti-Male bigots attempting to justify or ignorantly dismiss the issue, exactly as they do with everything else in life.

The acute chronic gender-bias and victim complexes they habour knows no bounds.

As Urine Troubles (LMAO) put it, "feminists pick 'n' choose what they want!"

EDIT -

Oh never mind, it's the sisterhood of anti-Male bigotry (Molly, Ya Coffee and Kiki) as usual. I don't expect anything intelligent from them anyway lol.

Perhaps because we have not all read the book, or watched the play. Some of us feminists actually have more important things to do, then to fit the stereotype in your little head!

It sounds like that part was changed - I saw it and I don't remember that part so maybe it was deemed inappropriate. Clearly the author was about pushing buttons to make one feel uncomfortable - that was her thing - but she was only writing - not doing it. How many fictional murders have you watched in your life? Did you get outraged by that fictional violence? - I think you'd only get outraged by one if the murderer were a feminist. If the victim were a feminist -you'd probably cheer.

drunk rape happens more than it should because men know they will get away with having sex with a drunk woman who doesn't have the full mental capacity to make decisions. shes easier to take advantage of.

I've never seen or read TVM. But having heard this about it now I looked up a bit of information about it.

Apparently a woman gets a young girl drunk and rapes her? That's some nasty sh*t right there. I'm glad I never bothered to see it.

Rape is NEVER good. Not EVER.

That play is very rapey. And creepy. And rapey.

But, feminists love it for some reason.

They claim the rape is a metaphor for something else.

I'd like to give that metaphor a shot - see how they react.

Perhaps there are not enough males involved in that crime scenario.

I have never heard of the "Vagina Monologues." So maybe that's why.
