And you answered the question with a good response, but the question was asked a year ago, so I doubt you'll still remember it - but I do. It stated: "Women complain about being "treated as equals," but why, then, do we view the sh*t that happens to them as much worse than what happens to men? Isn't this why people still view women as weaker and less capable than men? Because they can't even handle the same responsibilities as men?" This statement is very true. If a woman gets drunk and consents to having sex with a man while drunk, it is, in fact, her fault for getting drunk in the first place. If the man doesn't force sex onto the woman, then it is not rape. Women, just like men, have the capability to use common sense. Common sense tells us that drinking beer makes us more likely to get involved in dangerous situations; whether it be car crashes, violent altercations, etc. Feminist women think that we should teach our sons to not take advantage of women - taken directly from a feminist site -but, personally, I think we should teach our daughters to be more careful when drinking; I mean, rapist rape no matter how many times their fathers told them "Don't take advantage of women."

Mens lack of reproductive rights: Thanks to biology, men have barely any reproductive responsibility. Basically, their role in created a baby, is having sex. Women have way more reproductive responsibility so of course we're going to have more reproductive rights. And that's completely fair.



The fact that women get sole custody more often than not: That's a court decision and each individual case is decided differently.



The divorce rate: I can't think of one reason why this would be the fault of feminism. People 100 years ago wanted divorces just as much as people now but it wasn't socially acceptable. Now it is, and there's no reason for you to stay with a spouse you despise.



Lack of Domestic Violence Shelters for men: Seriously, how many men would be willing to swallow their pride and get themselves help at these shelters? Not many. I still think there should be somewhere for abused men to go, but again, how is this women's fault? It's not like feminists are going around protesting against DV shelters for men. And what are men doing about it? Expecting women to do establish DV shelters for them?



Selective Service: There's never going to be a draft, and you can't even be drafted if you're younger than 18 or older than 25. And again, women didn't decide this, the men who ran the government in 1917 decided this.

Feminism gets blamed for a lot of stupid things on here, but some things can partially be traced back to it. I would say most of it is a result of the militant feminists more than feminism in general, the problem being they were the ones who were "in charge" so to speak when the major changes came about.



False rape claims- Many feminists claim rape is almost never falsely accused and basically seem to want men accused of rape to be considered guilty until proven innocent. Though it doesn't happen as much anymore as the people who usually promoted this idea have mostly gotten fed up not many people were listening to them and left, it used to be a fairly common thing to see someone promote the idea it was sexist not to immediately assume a woman was telling the truth about rape and therefore the man is guilty until evidence says otherwise.



False rape claims themselves cannot be blamed on feminism, though. There's even a false claim of rape in the Bible in Genesis (Joseph and Potipher's wife, which by the way shows what happens when you blindly believe the woman as well).



Men's lack of reproductive rights- The only thing I'd put on feminism here is the fact men basically have to bow down to what women want when it comes to pregnancy and early childhood. Of course women are the ones more directly affected by pregnancy, but when you have so many feminists who also bemoan how men don't "step up" after the child is born, yet want to completely ignore men and leave them out of the decisions before, things start to look very strange.



Women get sole custody- I don't think feminism is the major culprit here. But not many feminists seem to be doing anything to change this, and many in fact will deny it happens. I'm not sure it's entirely a coincidence this became much more common after the feminist movements of the 1960s. Still this is one that largely gets overblown in my opinion.



Divorce rate- I would really only say feminism has an indirect relationship here. Feminists have promoted independence of women, which was taken by some to mean divorce at the first sign of trouble. I wouldn't blame feminism for this necessarily, I think it's largely more the result of a lack of moral values in society in general. I was tempted to leave this one off the list for that reason but do think there is a bit of a correlation, though I don't think I'd put a lot of blame on feminism for this one.



Lack of men's domestic violence shelters- Here's another one I nearly left off the list. I don't really blame feminism for the lack of shelters--except for one thing. Many feminists promote domestic violence as an almost exclusively male thing, that it's almost entirely a result of The Patriarchy(TM). While it's hard to deny more often serious cases of domestic violence do include a male abuser and a female victim, it's not entirely one-sided.



All that being said, someone could still set up a shelter for men.



Women don't have to sign up for the draft- I don't get this one either.



McDonald's doesn't serve McMuffins after 10:30- McMuffins suck anyway. The fewer McMuffins being made the faster they can get me my hash browns, so if this is true I'll thank feminism for it.

Even today the subject is often ridiculed, just like feminism is ridiculed, but you will notice that in places where women are considered to be very powerful, there are more safe houses, and other services, made available for men and women alike.



Selective service: Again, men here blame women for not doing the work for them. They think feminists should put men's rights at the top of their priority list. Never mind that women here have very little authority in the military at all. In fact the vast majority of the people making military policy are men. Men who have refused for decades to give women an equal role in the military. BTW women have been asking for exactly that, which would by default mean signing up for the selective service. So I'm not really sure why anti feminists complain to women at all on this one. Talk about barking up the wrong tree. (I'm unbiased on this, because I'm not American. You are wrong about abortion rights. Long before feminism, men were forcing abortions, in many cases with full backing from the law. There is documentation going all the way back to the roman times.
